Chelsea School of Pharmacy Tree Commemoration

In October, a group of alumni from the Chelsea School of Pharmacy planted a tree in the garden of the College on Manresa Road. The group, Chelsea 56, organised the event to commemorate their time at the College.

Over 30 alumni from the years 1953-1986 joined together to add a contribution of soil to the Ginkyo Biloba Tree, which was dedicated by Andrew Parrish, Chairman of KCLA. Guests then shared a Toast of Absent Friends, led by Chelsea 56 member, Anne Savage.

In 2001 the land of the College was used to build a block of luxury flats, so the tree now acts as a lasting reminder of, “the students and staff of Chelsea Pharmacy School 1886-1991,” as the plaque reads.

If you would like to visit the garden, please contact Manresa Reception on 0207 808 9393.
