Professor Sir Lawrence Freedman was given a very warm reception on 11 April by the Hong Kong audience at the exclusive lecture he gave to King’s alumni entitled Obama’s Pivot: US Security Policy in Asia Pacific.

The event was hosted by the British Consul General to Hong Kong and Macao, Ms Caroline Wilson.  Over forty alumni, their guests and current King’s students were in attendance.  Distinguished guests included Dr Abraham Lue, fellow of King’s College.

Sir Lawrence Freedman gave a critical overview of US security policy in Asia under the Obama Administration, including North Korea under Kim Jong-Un.

After the lecture everyone had a chance to network and catch-up over wine and canapes.

It was a very cheerful evening.
