Big data insights from King's Business School

The new King’s Business School hosted its first alumni breakfast event last month focusing on the subject of big data analytics – detecting, interpreting and communicating patterns in large volumes of data. If you missed it then we can now offer you the chance to watch this fascinating seminar in full.

The well-attended event took place in Bush House and featured Professor Stuart Barnes, a marketing expert and thought leader from King’s Business School. The second speaker was King’s alumnus Chaney Ojinnaka, (Public Health, 2005) also spoke, Founder & CEO of financial technology start-up VendorMach, which uses big data to improve supply chains between large companies and their suppliers.

Professor Barnes talks about trends in big data and his work at King’s as Director of the Consumer and Organisational Digital Analytics Research Centre. Entrepreneur Chaney Ojinnaka’s presentation covers his experience of using big data to transform customer experiences, with fascinating case studies from the healthcare industry.

This new series of free seminars is a chance for alumni to gain practical insights from leading industry experts in sessions designed to fit around busy work schedules. The seminars also provide exclusive access to the latest King’s Business School research and the chance to network with peers.
