King’s makes history as the first European university to win Platinum CASE Award

Making pioneering and brave choices in order to make a positive impact on the world is part of the lifeblood of the whole King’s community. That’s why we are delighted that our World questions | King's answers campaign, which set out to find answers for some of the biggest global concerns, has become the first European University to win a Platinum CASE Award.

CASE (the Council for Advancement and Support of Education), based in Washington DC, recognises outstanding work and best practices in education. The Platinum Award acknowledges the best-of-the-best programmes and practices among educational institutions. Marnie Middlemiss, Head of Major Gifts and Tom McNeil, Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, accepted the award at the CASE Annual Conference in Brussels.

The judges commended the campaign as an impactful and innovative fundraising effort, which used King’s strengths and expertise as a research-based university, setting out to tackle world issues and to answer the global questions that affect us all.

Previous winners of the Platinum Award include:

  • Stanford University
  • Colorado State University
  • The University of Louisville

King’s is now in the process of developing our next fundraising campaign. Our agenda will be ambitious and we are poised to deliver extraordinary outcomes through this future campaign.
