King’s ranked 11th in Times Higher Education Most International Universities 2017

International Rankings

King’s is now 11th in the Times Higher Education ‘Most International Universities 2017’ Rankings - an increase of 25 places on last year. This ranking takes into account international reputation for the first time.

Why King’s is climbing the ranks

Phil Baty, THE World University Rankings Editor, said: ‘King’s College London is an outstanding performer in the World University Rankings for a number of clear reasons, including world class research and strong teaching of course. However one major aspect fuelling excellence at King’s is a truly international outlook and a big global footprint’.

Indeed, it is King’s powerful global profile and its commitment to internationalisation that led Times Higher Education to choose King’s, and London, as host for its fourth annual World Academic Summit.

Professor Ed Byrne, President and Principal of King’s said: ‘This excellent result is testament to how our multi-disciplinary nature is enabling us to work closely with the best international partners. It is also thanks to the hard work of our staff to nurture and develop global collaborations with impact.

‘This recognition demonstrates once again the importance of combining our collective strengths and expertise, in the pursuit of tackling pressing global issues together and making the world a better place.’

Impact of King’s international alumni

Over 10,000 students from more than 150 countries currently study at King’s. Indeed, the university has an international alumni community of over 48,000 from 180 countries around the world.
