Xijiang ‘Tiger’ Jin (MSc Engineering with Business, 2010) lives in Shanghai. After graduating from King’s, Tiger returned to Shanghai to work on his own business projects including ANPI Technology, a cross-border e-commerce trade business. He is the Chair of the King’s Shanghai Alumni Committee, and supports alumni by acting as a point of contact for those based in, or visiting Shanghai.

Over the last ten years, the King’s alumni group in China has quickly grown from a relatively small number of alumni to the 3,500+ members that we have today. China is now the country with the third-largest King’s alumni community (after the UK and US). In order to foster this growing audience and establish more effective relations with the university, King’s has gained the support of several key alumni including Tiger.

Tiger and the Shanghai Alumni Committee organise monthly events in order to bring alumni together. These include social events at bars and restaurants as well as volunteering activities for King's Global Day of Service. Alongside this, Tiger also supports King’s on its annual South East Asia tours and alumni networking events. This May, King’s will host a China tour, allowing us to visit both Beijing and Shanghai.

‘Shanghai alumni members are active and passionate. International alumni groups are great for those wanting to share ideas and network. These events offer a unique opportunity to learn about research and developments from King’s, meet people and broaden alumni contacts’. - Tiger Jin
