New King's Connect mentoring platform -
start your journey now

A mentor can make a big difference in your career. Whether you are looking for your first job or planning the next step, a mentor can offer you advice, share industry knowledge, or open up their networks to help you make connections. Mentors can serve as professional role models who can be a sounding board to talk about your career aspirations and future business ideas.

As an alumnus of King’s you’ll have access to many resources and benefits including our mentoring programme, King’s Connect.  It’s your gateway to our global alumni community and the place to make connections through mentoring. Recently relaunched on a new user-friendly platform at kingsconnect.org, alumni can:

  • Sign up as a mentor or mentee and expand their network
  • Search for contacts by industry, job function, subject studied or area of expertise
  • Connect with others; create or join groups and start conversations

All this, plus access to King’s alumni news and events, is open to all alumni and students. You can also register using your Google, LinkedIn or Facebook account.

We’re not only online. King’s Connect hosts two London meet-up events each year. Our last meet-up was held on 11 April attracting more than 140 students and alumni. Speed mentoring was our most popular session with mentees who were able to ask mentors questions about their career or development.  Attendees had an opportunity to network and share stories about their experiences. Mentees also had a professional headshot taken for their profile and walked away with tangible advice on interviews skills, writing a job-ready CV, and how best to use LinkedIn.

'I    wish I had had the opportunity to speak with someone in the industry I chose whilst at King’s,   so I am happy to provide this opportunity to the new generation of King’s graduates’

Tim (Mentor) at the Mentoring Meet Up event

We believe mentoring makes a big difference to our students and alumni. In fact King’s was recognised 5th in the world for social impact in the latest THE University Impact rankings 2019.
