The start of something special

Paul and Monica met at our annual Geographers’ Walk at Alumni Weekend in 2009, and have just celebrated their 10th anniversary together.

A fresher's fair to remember

Sophie and Doyin first spotted each other over the crowds at the Strand Campus Freshers’ Fair in 2002. They met just a few days later at the gym and it was the start of something wonderful.

A lifetime of discovery

Valerie and Michael Calderbank (Physics, 1966 and 1964) met at a Maxwell Society weekend in 1964. They married two years later and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

A Classical romance

Diana and Brian (both Classics, 1955 and 1956) met on their first day at King’s. They married seven years later and will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in 2019.

The food of love

Stephen and Lorraine first locked eyes in the canteen queue at breakfast in 1999 and married in 2004.

Shared chemistry lasts a lifetime

Dr Lynne Marriott and Phil Marriott (both Chemistry, 1968) met at King’s in their first year and have been together ever since.

David was a geography student and Alice a doctor-in-training. They met while David was dressed as Dr Evil in Guy's bar and are now married with one daughter.

Katherine and Justin are both music alumni and they met through University of London Big Band. They got married in 2009 and are both lecturers in their fields of study.

Hilary and Trevor were both theology students and in 2019 celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.
