King's student Chibundu Onuzo on her first novel The Spider King's Daughter

King's History student Chibundu Onuzo was born and brought up in Nigeria, but came to England to study for GCSEs. Her first novel The Spider King's Daughter will be published by Faber early next year. And the publishing house has comissioned a second novel from the 19-year-old.

The book centres around an unlikely friendship between a young rich girl and a male street-seller. It is set in her home town of Lagos.

You can read the full interview with Chibundu in the next issue of In Touch, which is out in mid-April.
