Pitch Perfect: How to get your dream job in marketing, communications and PR

In 2014, King’s College London was rated by LinkedIn University Rankings in the top ten universities for marketers who go on to work in top companies.

On Wednesday 25 March 2015, the King's Alumni Team gave young graduates the chance to meet some elite marketers at Pitch Perfect. The event featured a panel discussion hosted by Professor Alison Wolf, the Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector Management, with King’s alumni from the marketing industry.

Although King's doesn't have a marketing programme, the event was designed to give young alumni an insight into how their King's degree can help them realise their goals and be successful in the world of marketing, communications and PR, just like the alumni speakers.

We caught up with some of the speakers and asked them to provide some of their top tips. Watch the video below:

Speakers included:

  • Mr Stuart Bill (International Relations, 2011) - Talent Acquisition Manager, Ogilvy HealthWorld
  • Ms Katie Glass (English Language and Literature, 2011) - UK Community Manager, Google
  • Mr Conor Love (Geography, 2011) - Shopper Marketing Specialist, Innocent Drinks
  • Ms Ninna Holm (Cultural and Creative Industries, 2012) - Account Director at FRUKT
  • Mr Mark Keller (Physics, 1984) - Chief Technology Officer, Hogarth Worldwide
